Sunday August 9, 2009

What a wonderful day in the Lord we had this morning! Laura Beth did an amazing job with teaching this week, as well as last week. Charles, you may be in competition for your position as our Bridge Builder Leader. We missed those of you who could not be with us. Our class just is not the same without you. This week we were encouraged to look where God has placed us to see if we find worship where we work. Take notice this week and see if you are being used to minister to those around you.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
Mary Kate: Sylvests niece was just diagnosed this week with juvenile diabetes. Please pray for Mary Kate and the family as they make the needed changes. Also, please remember that Mary Kate's sister, Mallory, not be forgotten as concern is focused to Mary Kate. Mallory is important to the family as well and she needs to feel that way.

Sue LeVert: Heather's grandmother came through surgery beautifully and is recovering well. Surgery was more intense than expected. A portion of the colon was removed, however instead of one hernia to repair, there were eight. As of this afternoon, Sue had been up, walking and sitting in a chair with no complaints. So far, she has had little pain meds. Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and for the family members who will be caring for her during this time.

Ronny and Marsha: Family members of Laura Beth's who both recently lost their jobs. Both are in need for employment. Please pray that opportunities will arise. Please pray the God will lead others to them who can help in any way during this time.

Alison will be transitioning from a working out of the home mom to stay at home mom. Please remember her as she moves from role to role.

Scott and Kelly: Friends of Jenn and Obed Ellis who are trying to conceive a baby. They are trying IVF but she is having trouble with the meds. Please pray that they will feel God's direction and comfort during this difficult time. It is so hard to want something so badly and not be able to obtain it. Pray that God's will and direction be revealed.

Catherine and Daniel: Friends of Heather and James Talley who are also having trouble getting pregnant. Please pray for peace and comfort that only God can provide.

Wendy Troglen: Down to the last couple of weeks until the twins arrive. There is a chance they could come as early as this week. Please pray rest and comfort for Wendy and for a safe delivery for the twins.

Elisha Rogers: Has a bleeding ulcer and had to receive units of blood this week. Please pray that she will continue to heal quickly.

Wetumpka Football team, coaches and their wives: As school is starting and football games begin, please pray that the team will stay healthy and will not receive injury. Pray for the coaches, that they will remain the positive influence on and off the field that God has called them to be and pray for the coaches wives and families as the fall season will call for them to be a part a lot of the time.

Schools, Students and Teachers as they get back in the swing of things this week.

Heather: Is not supposed to drive for 6 months due to her seizure last week, please pray that all will be worked out with transportation. Also, with the increase of medication, pray that her body will respond positively.

PRAISES:
Troy is much better from his first real illness this past week.

Sue's surgery was a success.

Everyone who was able to go on the canoe trip returned safely.
