Sunday September 13, 2009

We had a great Sunday School class with the Pathfinders group. Thank you Laura Beth for preparing during the week and bringing a great message. I have really thought about what we discussed in class and the people that I find myself with. My prayer this week is that God will take me out of my comfort zone and place me with those who need Him the most, those who need to trust His saving power so I can be a witness to them. I encourage you to build relationships with those around you, those you work with and let them see Christ in you! We did have some empty seats and missed those who were not with us. Please come back and join us this Sunday for fellowship and worship! We miss you when you are not with us!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Ellis' friends Scott and Kelly- Kelly will be having surgery this Friday. This is something that Kelly has feared, so this is a HUGE deal for her especially. Please be in prayer that all will turn out well and that she will recover quickly. Pray for Scott as he cares for her and for the physicians who will be caring for her.
Sylvest family, especially Mrs. Pat (Charles' mom) as they continue to sort through and find a new norm without Jodie. Please remember his children and Laura Beth and Charles as they step in help out with his daughter Hannah. She has latched on to them and wants to be with them as much as possible. Pray that they will adjust well to having a teenager around more often.
Frankie LeVert- Heather's dad was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa. This is an eye disease where the vessels in his retinas are narrowing. It could cause complete blindness. He will undergo more testing to determine how quickly it is affecting his vision.
Shelby LeVert- Heather's mom had a procedure done yesterday and a biopsy was taken from her uterus (or ovary). The Dr. told her once the results came back, they would discuss options. Please pray that this biopsy comes back negative and that all will be well.
Sherri Nowell's nephew has been very ill, but is on the way to recovery. Praise the Lord for that! Please pray that he will continue to feel well and will be able to return to school quickly. He has already missed 2 weeks.
There were many mentioned who are fighting cancer. Please pray for these and their families. God knows who they are!
